Ocusoft 1 Touch

What Is Ocusoft 1-Touch?

Healthy eyes have a tear film consisting of 3 layers: a watery layer, an oily layer and a mucus layer. These components are secreted by various glands in the eye, and together they keep the surface of the eye hydrated and comfortable.

When the meibomian glands become clogged, they’re unable to release the oils necessary to lubricate the eyes, causing them to become too watery. Without these oils, the tears evaporate too quickly, resulting in dry, irritated eyes.

Ocusoft 1-Touch treats evaporative dry eye by stimulating the meibomian glands.

What Causes Meibomian Gland Dysfunction?

Meibomian gland dysfunction can be caused by many things, including aging, genetics, environmental factors, hormonal changes, some medications, certain health conditions, and contact lenses.

Ocusoft 1-Touch Dry Eye Treatment

Ocusoft 1-Touch is one of the leading treatments for dry eye on the market. It works by heating the surface of the eyelid to about 110° while causing it to gently pulsate, which stimulates the meibomian glands to work more efficiently.

This innovative treatment is ideal for most cases of dry eye syndrome, because approximately 90% of patients who suffer from dry eye have some degree of meibomian gland dysfunction.

After the Ocusoft 1-Touch treatment, patients are given a post-treatment kit so they can further manage their dry eye symptoms at home.
